Scottsdale Hospitals are ‘Magnet’ Institutions

Scottsdale Healthcare’s Osborn Medical Center, Shea Medical Center and Thompson Peak Hospital were all officially recognized as “Magnet” facilities. Magnet recognition, awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, goes to hospitals that report shorter patient stay lengths, lower mortality rates, and more bedside time from staff. This designation will better position them to trends in quality nursing and patient care. This is the first multi-hospital health system in the state to be certified as such, and the 21st in the nation.  Read more here.
